I have been a huge fan of Snow Patrol for years and when their new album came out this year after a 7 year wait, I was SO excited. So much so that I got it on pre-order and it came with this signed print of the cover!

So a few weeks ago I posted a photo of some I’ll timed flowers in bloom. They’d been planted by my mother, not in anticipation of the recent snow, and now they are a shell of what they used to be.

This snow is really weird. I don’t remember seeing it quite like this before. It’s very dry, almost sandy and it gets blown about by the wind. There’s a lot of wind. On the road it looks like waves.

It’s started snowing again, and perhaps I am over the inconvenience of it now, and I am actually appreciating it a bit more for what it looks like and the atmosphere it brings.

I never see anyone sitting on them, and I honestly doubt anyone does. But hey, why do they have to be functional? This photo of them isn’t functional, but it’s nice.

The last remnants of winter’s hold are slowly being pushed out of the season by spring. But still a flurry of snow, the last hurrah, falls forth from the sky and scatters powder onto the plants and pavements.

It’s the last of it. Most likelyou it’ll be all if not mostly gone by the weekend. I have had a lucky couple of days off work, but now I will be back there, and no longer able to enjoy the snow during daylight.
